What to Bring on Your Hunt
Packing List
A successful hunt starts with proper gear. Weather in the Montana backcountry can be unpredictable, so it’s important to pack accordingly.
Clothing
- Waterproof, breathable rain gear (jacket & pants)
- Insulated hunting jacket and pants
- Layered base clothing (moisture-wicking materials)
- Warm gloves and hat
- Durable, waterproof hunting boots (well broken-in)
- Camp shoes or lightweight boots for evenings
- Wool socks (multiple pairs)
Hunting Gear
- Rifle or bow with appropriate ammunition/arrows
- Binoculars and spotting scope
- Knife/multi-tool
- Headlamp and extra batteries
- Daypack for daily hunting essentials
